How do I know if my new Golf Driver is or isn't conforming?
I have just ordered a new golf driver amazon.co.uk gp product B004FI10QG This has the line " Oversized dimensions falling just within the new regulations" .However, I have since discovered there are two versions of this driver. One which does not conform to regulations, and a newer one that does. This is the non conforming one by same seller I bought mine through on Amazon thesportshq.com forgan series 2 square driver.aspx it states at the bottom does not meet regs The conforming one forgan.co.uk forgan series 2 square driver1.aspx has the statement " now meets regulations" How can I easily determine whether the one I have ordered on Amazon is the conforming one? I suspect from the price it is the illegal one, but how would I know for sure? I have sent an email to the seller asking them to clarify which one I have ordered and to cancel my order if it is the non conforming one as it would be not as described on Amazon when it says " Oversized dimensions falling just within the new regulations" The R& S who rule on conforming non conforming equipment maintain a list of legal and illegal drivers on their website this driver shows up on neither lists although the Forgan F1 and F3 are conforming .
New to golf - driver swing - tension on left or lead knee - How to avoid injury?
I am a righty and my left knee has been an on and off problem for years. I think it's an old baseball injury from running around the bases too hard. Anyway I just started getting interested in golf and and I have only a few clubs. I know a video of my swing would help but I am pretty sure this is a common problem. It has only happened a couple times during a driver swing but I definitely twisted my knee a bit and since then its been a bit irritated but not too bad. I take this as a warning sign and I do not want to hurt myself. I plan on going to a real lesson soon but I just wanted to make sure I was into it enough first. Anyway any advice from experienced golfers? I try and end up on the left heel but my knee is bending the wrong way or feels like its locking up and I lose balance. I think it is because there is so many different things that I am doing with so many different body parts at one time its hard not to over think as a beginner I guess idk. One swing I might be more concentrating on my arms and the face of the club where other times i might be thinking a bit more about what i am doing with my lower body. What bothered me was hearing about how many pros have had knee problems which makes me think even they might be doing something wrong as crazy as it seems. Any good links from youtube or something that addresses this aspect of the swing? Thanks in advance
