Can I become a scratch golfer? Advice?
I'm a low nineties shooter right now but a year ago I was in the 120's. My goal by the end of this year is to be shooting in the low to mid eighties and I'd love to be a scratch golfer by the time I graduate from college which is in 2016. If anybody can give me advice I'd love it. Also tell md your story if you have become a scratch golfer.

Why do so many golfers buy a new driver each year?
I don't do this, but I know a lot of golfers buy a brand new driver each year. I personally think this is a waste since driver technology hasn't can't really change the only things that do change are adjustability which shouldn't be a huge incentive if you get fit for a club in the first place. Is it just sort of a " latest and greatest thing" type of thing? I bought a brand new Cobra S3 last year but plan to use it for a while considering I spent $300 on it. For those who do this, I just want some opinions input. Thanks And also if you want , why just the driver and not the fairways, irons, wedges, or putter? And also if you want , why just the driver and not the fairways, irons, wedges, or putter? And also if you want , why just the driver and not the fairways, irons, wedges, or putter?Sorry, the additional details was stupid

Does anyone have advice for a beginner golfer?
Hi, I started playing golf around 3 months ago. I bought a set of second hand blades to find out whether I would stick at it. I've played as much as I can over the last 3 months, and although I see an improvement, I'm still struggling. I'm hitting around 120. I'm struggling with my long irons. I've had a couple of lessons which are helping but I wondered if anyone can offer advice on the best way forward.I'm ok with my 6 down to 9 and wedges, although I'm not that consistent. I've parred every hole on my local course but on different days. Sometimes I hit a 5 on a par 4, other days I hit a 9 or 10 Also, when I play with other people I seem to choke a bit more when I play on my own. Is this normal? I'm really looking for some moral support from the golfers out there. Is my progress or lack there of normal someone who has been playing as long as I have? Does anyone have any tips on how to improve? I'd love to get my score down to 100. I feel if I could manage this I could confidently play with other people and not worry too much about being embarrassed with my game. Thanks in advance for your help.

In PGA Tournaments, how do they order golfers on the scoreboard who are tied?
In PGA Tournaments, how do they order golfers on the scoreboard who are tied? I can see that it's not alphabetical, how they are performing for the current day, or related to if they're done for the day or still on the course. My current theories are that it has something to do with when they moved into that position relative to those you're tied with... or that it just has to do with the most logistically easy way to change it on the physical leader boards.
